Christmas is almost here! Whether its decorating a Christmas tree, standing under the mistletoe, singing some carols or sharing presents or spending time with family and friends, there’s much to enjoy and cherish for the holiday season. The Nutcracker: Enjoy this timeless holiday classic, performed by the Ballet San Antonio. It’s the largest and only production that features an all San Antonio-based cast, including musicians and close to 200 local children. Santa’s Railroad Wonderland: Head to the historic Texas Transportation museum and enjoy an extravaganza of Christmas activities, including nighttime train rides and the festively decorated forty acre site. Urban-15’s Holiday Laser Show: Celebrating its 11th year, the annual Holiday Laser Show is a multimedia spectacular of choreographed laser beams, colorful 3D animation and light effects performed to traditional holiday favorites and experimental electronic composition. A Wonderland Christmas: On weekday nights leading up to Christmas, Morgan’s Wonderland features a light and music show, petting zoo, Santa Claus and many other fun-filled activities. (Morgan’s Wonderland • 5223 David Edwards Dr., San Antonio, TX 78233 Nov. 27 – Dec 23)
A Christmas Carol: Head to the Playhouse for a brand new retelling of Dickens’ classic story of redemption as local artists Tony Ciaravino and Tim Hedgepeth bring a bold voice to the tale of Mr. Scrooge and his lessons in life and the spirit of love.
